There are some powders that, if your skin is bad, will look bad on you no matter how you try. It's mostly about texture. If you have a lot of bumps and open pores for example, a powder with any amount of shimmer will be most unflattering. That was my case with the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural (~P1,800), which I reviewed two years ago. I liked it at first, but realized it was making me look bumpier and pore-ier than I actually am.
After the initial high of finally getting my hands on it I was also disappointed that it didn't have a lot of coverage. For someone with a lot of uneven areas, that simply won't do! So it was relegated to the back of my vanity as I explored other powders.
Early this year I unearthed it and decided to give it another chance. What do you know, it looks fantastic on me now! It makes my skin so pretty and glowy! I like how thin the texture is - this is especially important when I wear thicker foundation.
So yes I've been picking this up almost every time I wear makeup. It finally works for me! Have you tried products like this, one that you didn't like so much but eventually changed your mind about?
